Recipe: End of Summer Season Salad

With Labor Day Weekend only one day away, we’re really starting to feel the end of the summer here at One World Market.

Our amazing teen volunteers who have kept us company all summer long have ventured back to school. Duke students have popped in the store to decorate dorm rooms and apartments.

Yep. It’s official. Summer is nearing a close.

But we’re still holding on! And these temperatures are a nice reminder that the season isn’t officially over…yet.

So we’re heading to the Farmer’s Market and getting in those Durham Bulls Games while we can. We’re meandering over to LocoPops, which we of course balance with delicious salads. Which is how we came across a new favorite:

If you’re heading downtown to the Farmer’s Market, we suggest you pick up the ingredients for this amazing salad:

You can find the RECIPE HERE.

And while you’re at it, serve that beautiful salad in one of our new AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL Acacia Wood Bowls!

Handcarved in Kenya, they really are stunning. And built to last!

Perfect for end of summer salads, autumn harvests, and yes, even holiday candy!

And if you spot a One World Market staffer at the Farmer’s Market – you’ll recognize us in our Sseko sandals, carrying a bolga basket, and buying the ingredients for this salad – be sure to say hello! We can lament the end of summer together!
